CLIO—Daniel Alexander Alford, 88, died Sunday in a Clio nursing home.
He was a son of the late J.W. and Martha Smith Alford of Dillon County.
Alford was a prominent farmer of Clio Route 1, in Marlboro County.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Flora Larkins of Laurinburg, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Monday in Carolina Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.... Masonic rutes will be rendered at the graveside.
Whitner Funeral Home of Bennettsville is in charge of arrangements.
