The News (Frederick, MD) May 7, 1902

Mr. Charles Sellman, one of the most prominent residents of Montgomery county, died at his home at Poolesville Monday afternoon of an affection of the liver. Mr. Sellman had been affected with the yellow jaundice for several months. He was 56 years old.

He was the son of the late Captain William O. Sellman, who represented Montgomery county in the State Senate in 1870, and was a brother of Hon. John P. Sellman, who served in the House of Delegates last session.

Mr. Sellman is survived by a widow, four sons and two daughters. One of his daughters, Mrs. Mary Ainsworth, lives in Washington. The rest of the family live in Montgomery county.
