Madelyne M. Rose, 84, of 35 Murray Street, Oswego, died Sunday, December 11, at Oswego Hospital.

Born in Rome, she was a life resident of the Oswego area. She was the wife of the late Martin Rose, who died in 1988, employed for many years as a supervising seamstress at Ostead's Dress Manufacturing.

Mrs. Rose was the daughter of the late George and Esther McNett Fyle. She was a communicant of St. John's Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Alta L. Bogart of Mexico, and Madelyne "Tina" Ellingwood of Oswego, one son, Martin Rose of Scriba, two brothers, Peter Griffin of Osewgo, and Henry C. Dewey of Scriba, one sister, Marjorie Clark of Oswego, 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held December 15 from Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
