Mrs. Catherine Witwer

Mrs. Catherine Witwer, 84, of 126 W. 9th St., died at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday in her home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Madison Twp. on Oct. 23, 1892, and had lived in this area throughout her life. On Feb. 17, 1911 (sic - 1912), she was married in Mishawaka as Catherine Stuber, to Harry J. Witwer. He died on Feb. 23, 1964.

Surviving are four sons: Walter J. and Richard H., both of Mishawaka; Charles E. of San Francisco and Paul D. of Bremen; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Marnon of South Bend; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Albert Stuber of Mishawaka and Charles of South Bend, and four sisters, Mrs. Rose Beehler, Mrs. Glen (Hilda) Schlarb and Mrs. Kenneth (Caroline) Schlarb, all of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Freda Dukeshire of Santa Monica, Calif. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. thursday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Witwer was a member of St. Andrew's United Church of Christ and a charter member of the Mishawaka Firemen's Auxiliary."

Witwer, pastor of the Shiloh United Methodist Church, Kokomo, and Mrs. Witwer's grandson, was to officiate, with burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens."
