The Huntsville Times, Huntsville, Alabama Thursday, March 24, 1983. Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Guthrie, 76, of 2112 Ridgeway St., died Wednesday at Medical Center Hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Donnie E. Hussey officiating. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery. Survivors include seven sons, Howard Guthrie and John Guthrie, both of Nashville, Tenn., Jerry Guthrie of Memphis, Tenn., and George Guthrie, Frazier Guthrie, Ira "Chuck" Guthrie and Gene Guthrie, all of Huntsville; four daughters, Mrs. Louise Barnett and Mrs. Marvelene Ricks, both of Huntsville, Mrs. Joyce Grubbs of Nashville and Mrs. Narvelene Smith of Etowah, Texas; two brothers, Robert Knight and Starling Knight, both of Huntsville; 37 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
