SAMUEL TOOMBS, farmer, Sec. 19; P. O. Burlington; he was born in Buckinghamshire, England, Feb. 13, 1820; he came to Wisconsin in 1839, located in Burlington, and engaged in by industry and strict economy, he has accumulated a handsome property. He married, in Racine April, 1849, Miss Artemesia Rose; she was born in Orange Co. N. Y. They have three children living – Addie (married Wm. Bushnell), Jerome and Albert. Mr. Toombs owns 100 acres of fertile land, finely improved, good barns – a pleasant home.
