Mrs. Eliza Miller died Friday, May 25, at her home east of Littleton, after a long illness. Eliza Diehl was born in Pennsylvania in April, 1838. She was united in marriage to Edward Miller, who died some years since. She was the mother of eight children, two dying in infancy. Those surviving are Mrs. Eugene Oakley, Hazelton; Mrs C. L. Bright, Jesup; Clinton Miller South Dakota; Mertie, Claude and Edward at home. Two brothers who visited her during the winter were present at the funeral services, one from Wright county and one from DesMoines. She united with the church in 1860. The funeral service was held at the M. E. church Sunday afternoon, Rev. Lemen taking for his text, Hebrews, 18-8. The attendance was large and a long procession follows the remains to their resting place in the Littleton cemetery by the side of her husband. The arrangement of drapings and flowers at the church was very beautiful and in exquisite taste.
