Died 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 1992, at the Woman's Hospital. She was 75, a native and resident of Baton Rouge. She was retired. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 3 to 10 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Kepper. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, June and Harold Orgeron, Dorothy and Thomas Greed, all of Baton Rouge, and Betty DeRush, El Monte, Calif.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Nita Adkins, Baton Rouge, and Jackson and Sue Adkins, Alexandria; two stepsons, Elmer and Clyde Adkins; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Joseph Bell Adkins; parents,Jack and Wilma Long Devall; two sisters, Alma Bonaventure and Elosie Smith; and a brother, Wallace S. Devall. Pallbearers will be James Olinde, Michael and Mark Orgeron, Leonard and Bryan Adkins and Darrell Carmena. She was a member of the Baton Rouge Evening Lions Club.
