"Tex" Marion Frances Crow was born June 30, 1924 at Magic City, Texas, a son of Edwin and Mary Crow. When a small child, he moved to Shamrock, Texas where he attended school. In 1944, he moved to Idaho where he was a truck driver and in 1945 moved to Billings. He was married to Gladys flint of Whitefish in 1946 at Billings.
He, with his family, came to Whitefish in 1950 where he resided until 1958 when he returned to Texas. He moved back to Whitefish in 1962 where he had been a bus driver for the Whitefish Taxi. He received national publicity for saving a busload of Girl Scouts on a National Jamboree descending Logan pass on a sign seeing tour, when the bus brakes gave out. He maneuvered the bus down the mountain pass, bringing it to final stop by embanking it on a ditch with a minimum amount of damage and injuries.
Crow died suddenly at his home eight miles west of Whitefish on February 28th at the age of 45 years.
He is survived by his wife Gladys at the family home; five sons, Ronnie at Kellogg, Idaho; Allan of Camo Legeune, North Carolina; Clinton, Charles, and Larry all at the family home; three daughters, Sharis Crow of Spokane, Washington; Mary Jane and Lucinda Crow both at the family home; three brothers, Cole Crow, Farmington, New Mexico; George Crow, Duncan, Oklahoma; and Floyd Crow, Papa, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Morgan of Lovington, New Mexico.
