Mrs. Ruby I. Jones, 82, of 14290 LaGrange Road, LaGrange Ohio, died Wednesday evening 2/14/1979 at Elyria Memorial Hospital, Elyria Ohio, following a short illness.
Born in Belden Ohio, she was a member of the LaGrange United Methodist Church and a trustee of the church for thirteen years. She was treasurer of the Women’s Society of the church for eight years, and treasurer of the Martha Circle for six years. She was on the official board of the church and a member of the Sunshine Fund and the Esther Circle. She also was a member of the Belden Community Church Circle.
Survivors included a sister, Cecile Rocher of Elyria Ohio, and a brother, Rudolph Pfeiffer of LaGrange Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Miller Jones, in 1966; a son, William, in 1923; and a brother, Clayton.
Calling hours were held at Fulton Funeral Home, Grafton Ohio. Services were held at the LaGrange United Methodist Church, LaGrange Ohio, with the Reverend David Wilcox, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Belden Cemetery, Grafton Ohio.
