Dick married Wilda Evans on June 21, 1963 in Apache. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He worked as the manager of T.H. Rogers at the Apache Lumberyard before going to work at the Apache Co-op as a clerk until his retirement.
Dick was an avid golfer. He also enjoyed playing dominoes. In 1993, he and his partner, Keith Koassechony won the 50th World Championship Domino Tournament held in Carnegie, OK. He also loved to mow his grass and keep his yard looking nice.
