Elizabeth was the oldest of three children born to Stanley James Chapman (May 24, 1900 - July 2, 1954) and Frances Elizabeth Webb (March 14, 1914 - January 5, 1978). Her younger brother Max Jefferson Chapman (June 28, 1933 - October 3, 1935) is rarely if ever mentioned. She apparently married Marlin Simpson around 1950 and was divorced from him in Polk County, FL in 1956. She then moved with her mother and her youngest brother John William Chapman (July 6, 1934 - November 17, 1992) to the Pittsburgh, PA. She married to Thomas E. Donohoe (April 20, 1928 - May 26, 1979).

Her obituary from the November 24, 2005 issue of the Pine Bluff Commercial (Pine Bluff, AR) reads:

DUMAS — Elizabeth Gertrude Donohoe, 74, of Dumas, died Monday at Pine Bluff.

She was born May 20, 1931, at Merced, Calif., a daughter of the late Stanley James Chapman and Francis Elizabeth Webb Chapman.

She was a homemaker.

She attended the Methodist church.

She moved from Poplar Bluff, Mo., to Dumas in the early 1990s.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, John William Chapman.

There are no immediate survivors.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at Griffin Funeral Home at Dumas. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery.
