PROVIDENCE --- Alfredo M. Andrade Sr., 70, of 95 Toronto Ave., a machine operator, died yesterday at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Maria A. (Medeiros) Andrade.
Born in Sao Miguel, the Azores, a son of the late Jose M. and Maria daC. (Sousa) Andrade, he came to Providence 15 years ago.
Mr. Andrade worked for the American Insulated Wire Co. since 1979.
Besides his wife he leaves four sons, Carlos A. Andrade of Westfield, Mass., Antonio J. Andrade of Providence, Alfredo M. Andrade Jr. of East Providence and Oscar Andrade in Sao Miguel; a daughter, Maria O. Carreira of Woodbridge, Va.; two brothers, Jose Andrade of East Providence and Gervasio Andrade in Canada; three sisters, Maria Braga of Providence, Deotina Carreiro of Bristol, Ermilinda Amaral of Newport, and 12 grandchildren.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8 a.m. from the Rebello Funeral Home, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 at Holy Rosary Church, Traverse Street. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
