A 7 year old Memphis girl died last night of injuries received in a highway accident on January 31 that sent six other members of her family to the hospital.

Death came to Peggy Sue Peek of 296 West Illinois at 11:25 p.m. in her room at St. Joseph Hospital. Her father, Ray H. Peek, was recovering from a broken back at the same hospital.

Mr. Peek, 39 year old millwright for Cleveland Container Co. at 1076 Texas, was driving with his family near Walnut, MS when a blowout pitched their station wagon over a highway embankment. Peggy Sue received a severe brain concussion and head cuts in the crash.

Mrs. Peek, 39, and four of her other children, Monnie Lou Peek, 13; Albert Ray Peek, 11; Ben Edwin Peek, 10; and May Catherine Peek, 5, were released from the hospital after treatment for cuts and bruises. Peggy leaves another sister, Linda Gale, 2.
