Then married Clara Gilbert in Loves Park, Dec. 15, 1967. Employed by Chas. V. Weise Co. 20 years, retiring in 1962. After that he joined his family in Beck's Standard Oil Station and North Park Hardware. In 1975 at the age of 75 he started his own business repairing windows and screens. When he became ill, he sold the business to his son, Bruce, and grandson, Brian. Member of Bethany Presbyterian Church and Rockford Moose Lodge 163. Survivors include his wife, Clara; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Gloria) Larson, Rockford; two stepdaughters, Mrs. John (Joanne) Traimer, Houston Texas, and Mrs. Lloyd (Rita) Frank, Durand; three sons, Bruce Beck, Rockford, Bill Beck, Loves Park, and Gene Beck, Beloit, Wis.; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements pending at DELEHANTY FUNERAL HOME LTD., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Bethany Presbyterian Church.
