She was born Nov. 23, 1963, in Chillicothe, the daughter of Raymond and Maylene Johnston.
On April 2, 1988, she married William Hudson Key Jr. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Key was a 1982 graduate of Breckenridge High School. She worked in the cosmetic department at Wal-Mart in Chillicothe. Mrs. Key was a member of the Breckenridge United Methodist Church.
Survivors also include her parents, Raymond and Maylene Johnston of Breckenridge; a sister and brother-in-law, Shelly and Rick Salisbury of Breckenridge; and a brother, Joe Johnston of Breckenridge; a nephew, Ethan Johnston of Breckenridge; her grandmother, Mrs. George R. Johnston Sr., of Breckenridge; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, George R. Johnston Sr.; and aunt, Janet Louise Johnston; her father-in-law, William Hudson Key Sr.; and grandparents, Delores Wall, Charles Asher, Mattie Treon and F. B. Bailey.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, at the Enon Baptist Church, Dawn. Burial will be at the Coloma Cemetery, Bogard.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. today (Tuesday), and from 9 a.m. until noon, Wednesday, at the Pitts Funeral Home in Breckenridge. There is no scheduled family visitation.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Enon Baptist Church or the Coloma Baptist Church, which may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Pitts Funeral Home; P. O. Box 425; Braymer, MO 64624.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Pitts Funeral Home in Breckenridge.
