Mrs. Brown moved to Lubbock in 1923. She moved to Abilene from Lubbock in 1925.
She married Robert F. Brown on 29 March 1902 in Breckenridge. He was a prominent rancher with interests in Stephens, Scurry and Taylor counties. She attended Add-Ran College which is now Texas Christian University.
Mrs. Brown was a benefactor to the Buttman Methodist Camp, the Methodist Home of Waco, the Sears Methodist Retirement Center and McMurry College. She gave donations to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center, Hendrick Medical Center, the Boys Ranch, the YMCA and the YWCA. She was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church.
