Maggie, as she was named on her birth certificate, was born in Ballystrudder Islandmagee in Northern Ireland to Martha Haveron and John Kerr. She and her sister Mary Annie Kerr (Cunningham) came to Canada as British Home children. She was buried next to her husband William Preston Davis in the Alameda Saskatchewan cemetery.
