She was born in Parkersburg, a daughter of Canis R. and Delsie Clegg Duncan of Parkersburg. She was a member of the West Virginia Labor Union and a Baptist by faith.
In addition to her parents, survivors include her husband, Verner Metz; one daughter, Carrie Duncan of Parkersburg; one son, Bobby Wilson of Parkersburg; three sisters, Patsy Wilcox and Pauline Stone of Parkersburg and Candy McClain of Philadelphia, Pa.; five brothers, Clarence David Patterson, John Rader and Mike Rader, all of Parkersburg, Clark Rader of Rockport and Jerry Rader of Vienna; and one grandson, Devin Cantwell.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg, with the Rev. Kevin Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
