Dorothy Day Stricklin


MOULTON — Funeral for Dorothy Day Stricklin, 68, of Speake will be Sunday at 2 p.m. At Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Weems officiating.


Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.


Mrs. Stricklin died Thursday, March 27, 2003, at her home. She was born July 13, 1934, in Lawrence County to Allen and Lillian Smith. She was employed at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and attended Friendship Baptist Church.


Survivors include her husband, J.V. Stricklin; two sons, Jim Day of Speake and Joe Day of Fairfield; two daughters, Sherrie Day of Decatur and Hope Cooper of Speake; three brothers, Perk Smith of Decatur, Loyd Smith of Massey and Ray Smith of Speake; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.


Family members will be pallbearers.
