He was born on January 25, 1905 in Wilford, Idaho, a son of Robert Martin and Mary Alberta Card Burton.
He married Dorothy Martina Sjoblom, June 9, 1938, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died March 17, 1988.
He was reared and educated in Kaysville, Utah, moving in 1932 to Fielding, Utah, where he owned and operated a farm. He has resided with his daughter in Mapleton for the past three years.
He had served an LDS Mission in the Great Lakes Mission and was a High Priest in the Belmont First Ward.
He is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law: Larene and Verl Spendlove, Perry, Utah; Mary and Newell Moss, Mapleton, Utah; Cordelia and H R Peterson, Richfield, Utah; and Carolyn and Jackie Dee Orton, Overland Park, Kansas.
Interment was held in the Fielding City Cemetery, Fielding, Utah.
