Mrs. McQuown was the widow of Albert Clare (Mac) McQuown and had been a New Carlisle resident since 1930.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of New Carlisle and its Dorcas Circle, the Creative Hobby Club, and Good Neighbor Garden Club.
Mrs. McQuown was born in Manchester, Ill., Aug. 22, 1890, the daughter of Frank and Martha Story Curtis.
Survivors include a son, Hal of Kettering; a daughter, Miss Rachel McQuown of New Carlisle, and two grandchildren. A son, Paul, died in 1960.
