WASHINGTON Mrs. Vivian B Jones, 53, of Washington, wife of Arthur E. Jones Sit., died early Wednesday at a Belfast hospital. She was born November 5. 1907 at Sedgwick, daughter of Edwin and Phoebe (Wessel) Carter.

She is survived by four daughters,. Elizabeth G. Jones and Marian F. Jones of Belfast. Pauline G. Jones of Union and Ruth I. Jones of East Friendship: four sons Arthur F. Jones Jr„ and Robert C. Jones, of Washington, Theodore A. Jones of Rockland and .James W. Jones of Belfast; four sisters, Mrs. Caroline Cousins and Mrs. Louisa Pert of Sedgwick. Mrs. Shirley Sheppard of Blue Hall and Mrs. Evelyn Birkman of Larrabee, Iowa: six brothers, Malcolm Carter, Franklin Carter, Arnold Carter and Elmer Carter of Sedgwick, Willard Carter of Portland and Belford Carter of Meriden Conn.: six grandchildren and several nieces and Nephews.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Russell Funeral Home in Rockland, the Rev. Homer S. Hughey officiating.

Internment will be in the Skidmore Cemetery, North Union
