GRAVESIDE SERVICES HELD MONDAY
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Calvary Cemetery for John Zanin, former Williamson resident. The Rev. Father C. J. Gaul officiated at the services.
Zanin moved to Calumet City, Ill. in 1936 where he has since made his home. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater, where he was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
He was employed by Electro-Motive, a division of General Motors for 30 years and was due to retire in August of this year.
He passed away Friday afternoon at the Little Company of Mary Hospital in Calumet City where he had been a patient for the past five weeks.
He is survived by three brothers, Abraham of Calumet City, Joseph of Lockport, Ill. and Albert of Chariton.
