Elizabeth Ann Veatch married Robert B. Magee on Apr. 2, 1867, in Davis County, Iowa. They lived for a number of years in Missouri and Kansas before moving to San Jose, Calif., where Robert B. Magee died in 1913. Elizabeth "Annie" married another Civil War veteran, Albert B. Smith, in 1918. For many years she was an active member of the Sheridan-Dix Women's Relief Corps of San Jose. She moved to Los Angeles in 1937 to live with her sister Marietta (Veatch) Davis. She was nearly 101 years old when she died on Dec. 12, 1948.
