Word reached here today of the death at York of John S. Batdorf, a Lebanon man, aged 28 years. He was afflicted with pneumonia. He lived in Lebanon all his life, being employed as a millman, until about four years ago when his father died, and he took charge of the latter's grocery and general store and South Queen Street, York. He took sick only several days ago. Besides his wife, who before her marriage, was Sarah Arnold, of this city, he leaves a daughter, Kathryn, and his mother, Mrs. John Batdorf, who resides at Half Way. There are also two brothers, Frank, of Half Way; Thurman, of East Cumberland Street, and a married sister, Myrtle, of Iona. The body will be brought to Lebanon for burial later in the week.
