Countess Brownlow. She was the first wife of John Cust, 1st Earl Brownlow. She was the daughter of Sir Abraham Hume, 2nd Baronet and Lady Amelia Egerton. She married John Cust, 1st Earl Brownlow, son of Brownlow Cust, 1st Baron Brownlow of Belton and Frances Bankes, on 24 July 1810 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London.
The French artist Gaspard Dughet painted the "Imaginary landscape with buildings in Tivoli" with the inscription; 'Painted most kindly and expressly for me my ever dearest and best friend Sophia Lady Brownlow, during my last and sad visit to her at Belton'. The original of this work resides in the collection of National Gallery, London.
