On March 29, John Antus, WKNR Radio Sports Broadcaster, local hockey expert, sports talk show host, and former Jacks color commentator and broadcaster passed away suddenly from a heart attack at age 49.

John was the loving husband of Cathy (nee Smith); stepfather of Megan Richards and Jeremy Richards; son of John and the late Josephine; brother of Gregory (Leslie); uncle of Jordan and Jared (deceased) and loving nephew.

John was a fan of all sports, but his special favorite was hockey, and he became the lone hockey voice in the wilderness of the Cleveland radio sports talk.

He had been color commentator for the Jacks, and did play-by-play for the Jacks' internet broadcasts their last season.

John also hosted, among his many assignments, pre- & post-game Indians & Browns shows, and radio and TV broadcasts of high school hockey & football.
