HUDSON FALLS - Lawrence Leroy Cook Jr., 69, of Martindale Terrace, went into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, at Glens Falls Hospital, after a long illness.

Born on Oct. 29, 1934, in Glens Falls, he was the son of [name omitted] of Glens Falls and the late Lawrence E. Cook.

At one time he was a truck driver for North American Van Lines.

Lawrence enjoyed bingo, fishing, playing poker with his family and watching stock car racing on TV. Jeff Gordon was his favorite driver.

He was known as "Bingo Man" on the CB years ago.

Besides his father, Lawrence E. Cook, who passed away in 1975, Lawrence was predeceased by his brother, Ralph Cook, who died in 1997.

He is survived by family and friends.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St. in Hudson Falls.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rodney Mosher, pastor of the West Mountain Community Church in Queensbury, officiating.

Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.

The family suggests memorials take the form of donations to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220.
