Majorie G, Hyde, 80 of Freeport formerly of Elmhurst died Tuesday July 5, 2005 at St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford, IL. Born May 9, 1925 in Chicago Illinois she was the daughter of Fred and Mabel (Rice) Nuetzhorn. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and very active within many groups of the Church. She was a home health care provider for many years retiring in 1995. She was an avid gardener. Surviving are her daughter, Starlene (David) Hauki of Lena, three sons, Kerry (Marie) Hyde of Jenison, Mich., Howard (Christine) Hyde of Geneva, IL, Mark (Lauren) Hyde of Sugar Grove, IL, nine grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, one brother, Robert (Bonnie) Nuetzhorn of Nixa, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Faith United Methodist Church with the Reverend Douglas Q. Bowden officiating. Entombment will be in Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum, Freeport. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the Church. A memorial has been established in her name for Faith United Methodist Church.
