Dorohty Mae Foos was born February 3, 1927 to Lloyd L. and Jessie (Burkett) Schell in Meade, KS. She passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009 in the Gove County Medical Center at Quinter at the age of 82.
On March 11, 1946, Dorothy was united in marriage to Harley D. Foos in Tijuana, Mexico. She farmed alongside her husband and helped with the cattle. Harley passed away July 24, 1981.
In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, and quilting. She always showed special interest in the lives of her grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Errol Dean Foos and wife, Deana, Perryton, TX; three daughters, Carol Jean Stewart, St. Albans, WV, Linda Diane Wenger and husband, Ronald N. Mankato, MN, Rita Kay Johnson and husband Russell, Gove; eight grandchildren, Robin Barnett and husband Bill, Jr. Ryan Johnson and wife, Darcy, Kaettie Wenger, Joel Wenger, Patrick Wenger, Lori Combs and husband, Cory, Amy Stewart, Bryan Foos; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Harley; two brothers, Roy and John Schell; and four sisters, Jessie Wallace, Esther Baker, Lena Bond, and Ruth Bonner.
