Anthony "Big Al" Alfonso Ball passed away June 29, 2011 at MCV Hospital in Richmond. He was born Sept. 8, 1957 to Ella Kelly and the late Arthur Dean Ball, Sr.
He received his education in the Lancaster County Public Schools.
Anthony joined the U.S. Army where he was honorably discharged.
He worked in brick masonry for a number of years and before starting his own landscaping business.
He was predeceased by one brother.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Darlene; two daughters; two sons; his mother; two sisters; five brothers; seven grandchildren; one aunt; mother-in-law; five nieces; nine nephews, and a host of other relatives.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 4 at Hartswell Baptist Church, Lancaster. Pastor Ernest Webster officiated. Interment services were held at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Kilmarnock. Pallbearers were John Landers, Frederick Cox, Larry Landers, Robert Jones, Kirk Brown, Tyrone Wood and Wayne Thompson.
Services of Comfort and Trust entrusted to the Berry O. Waddy Funeral Home.
