Daughter of Senator Ira Allen and Jane Quackenbush Eastman, she married Attorney David Cross and had several children. She outlived all but one of her six children. The one surviving Son Allen was a Minister living in Massachusetts. In the 1930's with his parents and siblings gone she and husband returned to live in the 1552 Elm St home with his wife and children.

Her mother Jane lived with her daughter Anna after her husbands death and in the 1900 census, her mother reports herself as married for 66 years, even though Senator Eastman died in 1881.

Their family home was at 1552 Elm St, the fashionable address in Manchester, NH, however the home was torn down before the area became historic, a Citizen's Bank sits on the site.
