Born as Cyrena WILSON to Michael and Rebecca (REECE) WILSON, she married first an abolitionist Quaker minister named William Lewelling who died after giving a speech in Indiana. She bore William several children in just over 10 years of marriage including Rebecca LEWELLING who married Allen HAMPTON, son of Elisha of this cemetery, and Lorenzo Dow Lewelling, a future Governor of Kansas. She married Erich Knudson in 1849 bearing him at least two more children (Sarah and Louisa) before her death in 1856 (son Lorenzo Dow Lewelling's wikipedia page says that she died after falling into a fire).
