EMMA F. HOUSER

Emma F. Houser was born to Frank Bernasek Sr. and Josie Fugan Bernasek on June 18, 1897, at Milligan, and passed away May 13, 1991, at the Wilber Nursing Home in Wilber at the age of 93 years, 10 months, and 25 days. She was one of six children in the family.

Emma lived with her family on a farm southwest of Milligan where she grew to womanhood. She attended school through the seventh grade.

Emma was married to Frank L. Houser of Daykin on March 4, 1919, and to them two children were born. Frank and Emma lived on a farm southwest of Daykin. Emma liked the farm life and loved to cook and garden. She remained on the farm until 1987, when a broken hip sent her to the hospital. She was never able to go back to the farm, and so she made her home at the Wilber nursing Home.

Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Josie Bernasek Sr; husband, Frank Houser; sisters, Mary Laun and Tina Krupicka; and brothers, Joe Bernasek and Frank Bernasek Jr.

She is survived by her son, Milo Houser; daughter, Ella Houser; brother James Bernasek; and nieces and nephews.
