Funeral Mass for Richard A. Adams, 71, will be held at 10am Monday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1401 N. Richmond Road (Route 31), McHenry.
Born Aug. 18, 1932, in McHenry Township, the son of Mathias and Dorothy (Bauer) Adams, he died suddenly Thursday, March 18, 2004, at his home. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
On May 14, 1960, Richard married Rita A. Hunter at St. Christina's Church in Chicago.
He was the beloved father of MaryBeth Adams of McHenry, Margaret (Dr. Stanley) Clark of River Forest, Richard (Samantha) Adams of McHenry and Matt (Ellen) Adams of Jacksonville, Fla.; fond grandfather of Matthias and Katharine Clark, Ben, Claire, Mark, Eric Adams, Jack and Ashleigh Adams; and loving brother of Dan (Joyce) Adams of Woodstock, Jim (Joan) Adams of McHenry, Ken (Joyce) Adams of McHenry and Nancy (Jim) Willis of Birchwood, Wis. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, William Adams; and by his sister, Dorothy Brown.
