DECATUR - Dorothy A. Adams, 68, of Alton, IL (Formerly of Decatur and Shelbyville) passed away Sunday, February 22, 2004 at Eldercare nursing home. She was born January 26, 1936, in Bayle City, IL to Guilford Marvin Bass Sr., and Opal Adeline Bass (Blaylock).

Survivors include five daughters, Victoria Smith of Las Vegas, NV, Deborah Grasty of Cabot, AR, Annette and Paula Ruffini of Decatur, IL, and Gloria Wass of Wyoming, one son, Guerino Ruffini Jr., of Decatur, a step-daughter Amelia Jackson of Shelbyville, IL, her sister and brother-in-law Patsy and Edward Scott of Bethalto, IL, Two brothers Robert Bass of IL and Guilford Bass of OR, eighteen grandchildren, seven great-granddaughters, numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, Harry Maxiener Sr., Guerino Ruffini Sr., and Arthur Adams, and her first great-grandson, Nicholas Daniel Stuckey.

Visitation will be at 1 PM with services at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, 308 E. Second St., Pana IL. with Rev. Allen Ebbler officiating. Burial will be at Oconee Mound Cemetery. Memorials to the family in care of McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. Obituary written by family members
