Country Singer. Born Amie Noelle Comeaux in Brusly, Louisiana, she had a musical talent at a young age. At 9 she sang the national anthem for a Saints game at the Superdome, and continued too into her teens. She loved to sing and was chosen to play the role of 'Annie' at the Baton Rouge Little Theater, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 1993 at age 16 she was signed to the Polydor Nashville Record Label. A year later in 1994 at 17 she released her first album, "Moving Out." The album was produced by producer Harold Shedd and David Briggs with Polygram Records, Shedd had been working with Amie since she was 10. Amie made several appearances in her short career including a free outdoor concert at the Wal-Mart in Stuttgart, Arkansas, in 1995, with country singer, Noah Gordon, and Fan Fair in 1996. On December 21, 1997, while returning from a family gathering in Alabama, her car skidded off of I-12, near Lacombe, Louisiana, crashing into a tree, during bad weather, and Amie was killed. Amie was only 21 years old. A plaque was later placed at the accident scene in her memory. Amie released a couple more albums before her death, and a couple that was released after her death. Amie's other recordings include "Moving Out," "Takin' It Back," "I Want The First To Last," "Blue," "Who's She To You," "You Belong To Me," "One Step Ahead Of You," "I Heard It From My Heart," "Oh No, Not Love Again," "Written In The Stars," "When You Smile At Me," "Twelve Steps Down," "When Spirits Walk," "Anywhere With You," "Paper Mill Road," "The Other Women," "The Dream," "House Of Fallen Angels," and "Another Bedtime Story."
