MOWEAQUA - Ralph A. Beck, 86, of Moweaqua died Saturday (Oct. 19, 2002) in Fair Havens Christian Home.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in First Christian of Moweaqua with the Rev. Mark Weber officiating. Visitation was Monday. Arrangements by Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Oconee. Memorials: First Christian Church or Fair Havens Christian Home.
Mr. Beck was born Aug. 31, 1916, in Ramsey, the son of Albert and Alberta Gallup Beck. He retired from Caterpillar Inc. after 25 years and was a member of First Christian Church of Moweaqua. He married Wilma Catherine DeVore, and she preceded him in death May 16, 1944. He then married Mary Carpenter, and she preceded him in death Oct. 13, 1986. He then married Mildred Moffett, and she preceded him in death in March 1995.
Surviving are his sons, Ron Beck and wife Jane of Mendon; Frank Beck of Moweaqua; daughter, Sue Hogan and husband Mark of Moweaqua; brothers, Marion Beck of Taylorville; Kenneth Beck of Bradenton; Carl Beck of St. Petersburg, Fla.; grandchildren, Kevin Beck and wife Pam, Cathy Wilson and husband Ken, Jennifer Dunakey and husband Jim, Ashley Beck, Breana Beck, Wes Hogan, Bryce Hogan; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his three wives; son, Roger; one brother; and parents.
