Known as Princess Elisabeth, she was a niece of the King of Bavaria and the daughter of Duke Ludwig Wilhelm of Bavaria. She married the Prince of Neuchâtel on March 9, 1808 and had three children: Napoleon-Louis-Alexandre, Caroline-Josephine and Marie-Anne-Wilhelmine_Alexandrine-Elisabeth. Upon her husband's promotion to Prince of Wagram, Elisabeth became Princess of Wagram.
