Olney, Ill. — Eleanor B. Carder, 95, of Clay City, died at 4:45 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2011, at Flora Gardens.

Mrs. Carder was born April 4, 1916, in Clay County, the daughter of Harry and Viola (Weidner) Cooper. She married Larry L. Carder on September 25, 1940, in Sailor Springs. He preceded her in death April 21, 1991.

She was a homemaker. She was of the Methodist faith.

Mrs. Carder is survived by her sister, Anna Lou Ginder, of Sarasota, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Viola Cooper, husband, Larry L. Carder, and one sister, Virginia Lambird.

Funeral services will be held at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Clay County.
