Mr. Book was born on Sept. 18, 1938 in Hazlehurst to Louie E. Book and Minnie Lee Patrick. He served in the U.S. Army and was retired from the Mississippi Department of Transportation. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Book of Yazoo City; daughters, Lindsey Book and Elizabeth Book, both of Madison; brothers, John E. Book of Yazoo City, Alton B. Boutwell of Tupelo and Alton B. Boutwell of Tupelo and Allen Boutwell of Picayune; and two sisters, Minnie Boutwell and Lucille Pierce.
Serving as pallbearers are Clinton Hayman, Sonny Strickland, Kenneth Walker, Benton Hayman, Goerge Nicholas, Gary Andrews, Bobby Barton, Walker Williamson and Robbie Roberts.
