Ruth L. (Goble) Reedy (1928-2010)
Ruth L. Reedy, 82, Spraytown, passed away at 3:06 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at her residence.
Mrs. Reedy attended Spraytown Methodist Church. She enjoyed watching Indianapolis Colts football games, working crossword puzzles and growing flowers. She enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren.
Born Dec. 20, 1928, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Wayne and Lora Beatson Goble. On Dec. 9, 1950, she married Ralph Reedy, who preceded her in death in 2004.
Survivors include two children, Janet Reedy and Mike Reedy; two sisters, Ida Ferguson and Martha Keller; one niece, Carolyn Hurt; three grandchildren, Kimberly (Clarence) Sterrett, Timothy (Nila) Reedy and Mandy (Thomas) Cook; and six greatgrandchildren, Drew, Ethan, Trinity Ruth, Haley, Dalton and Kylene.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Anna Mae Manual and Naomi Fields.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown. Burial will follow at Freetown Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
