A housewife and a resident of Prairieville, she died Monday, March 10 in Baton Rouge. She was 78 and a native of Galvez. Interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Galvez. Survived by her husband, Clarence W. McConnell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra McConnell and Christopher Joubert and Julia Darlene McConnell and Kenneth Sartin; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry Lane McConnell and Debbie Morris; four sisters, Shirley Dixon Braud, Dot Dixon Braud, Janice Dixon David and Bobbie Dixon Woods; a brother, M.H. Dixon; five grandchildren, Clarence Joubert, April Pittman, Heather Brunet, Janice Neff and Terry McConnell Jr; and four great-grandchildren, Brooke Joubert, Brittney Pittman, Emile Brunet and Julius Sartin. Preceded in death by her parents, Moody U. and Julia Courtney Dixon; two brothers and three sisters.
