BONHAM - Funeral services for Imogene Lucille (Haynes) Kroeger, age 91 of Ivanhoe, formerly of Staunton Ill. will be held at 10 a.m, Wednesday, July 13 at St. James Lutheran Church in Allens Chapel. Rev. John Walther will officiate the service. Burial will be at St. Pauls Lutheran Cemetery in Hamel, Ill. Mrs. Kroeger passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at her home in Ivanhoe.

Imogene Lucille (Haynes) Kroeger was born in Edwardsville, Ill. on Sept. 5, 1919 to the late Jonah Blaine and Laura Palmer (Manning) Haynes. She married Edward Karl Kroeger on March 24, 1940 in St. Louis, Mo.; he preceded her in death on April 27, 2000. Imogene was a checker at various super-markets in Illinois, California, and Kentucky for 28 years. She is a member of St. James Lutheran Church, and a member of the Ladies Aid of the church. She is a former member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Hamel, Ill. A member of St. Pauls Golden Agers, and a member of the V.F.W. Aux. Post 1241 Staunton, Ill. Before her husband passed they did volunteer work at Hitz and Hampton Homes of Alhambra, Ill. for 8 years.

Imogene is survived by daughter-in-law Sherron Kay Kroeger of Ivanhoe; son-in-law Robert L. Stine of Flora, Ill.; 5 grandchildren Penny Lee Bauer, Dell Ray Kroeger, Donle Kray Kroeger, Galen Lee Stine, and Donald Ray Henson; 11 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She is also preceded in death by both her parents, her daughter Sandra Kay (Kroeger) Stine on March 11, 2010; son Thomas Lane Kroeger on March 13, 2006; 3 brothers George Wesley, Edmund Calvin and Albert Elsworth Haynes; 7 sisters Mary Jane Kohler, Thelma Irene Haynes, Nellie Mae Blankenship, Minnie Wieduwilt, Lillie Belle Pratt, Maragret Marie Prior, and Cynthia Hope Dalton.

Family visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 12 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham from 6-8 p.m.
