The death of Charles Brenon occurred at his farm home in Houseville at an early hour Sunday, Feb 4th. Mr. Brenon had been a sufferer from Bright's disease for many years. He was born in Void, Lazere, France, December, 1826. When but a lad of seven years his parents, with a family of seven children, come to America. The ocean voyage was an eventful one and covered a period of sixty-five days. The family located on a farm on the hill west of Turin in the year 1834. In the early sixties Mr. Brenon, with his brother, Alfred Brenon, went to New York and engaged in the produce business. In this the brothers were successful and amassed quite a fortune.

At different times Mr. Brenon had resided in Turin and Lowville, but for the past few years he has lived upon his farm in Houseville, where he has been cared for by his niece, Mrs. John Brenon. Mr. Brenon was unmarried. He is survived by one sister, Mary Brenon, and one brother, Amie Brenon, both of Turin. Interment took place in Rural cemetery, Lowville, where Mr. Brenon had purchased a lot and had erected a handsome
monument.
