Paul Edward Fletcher

Paul Edward Fletcher, 46, of Whiteland, passed away unexpectedly of a massive heart attack Friday, May 27, 2011, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.

He was born Sept. 24, 1964, in Niles, Mich., to Gemre and Jean (Thomas) Fletcher. He married Analeise (Harbert) Fletcher on Feb. 21, 1987, at Southwood Assembly of God in Indianapolis; she survives.

Paul and his family owned and operated Paul's Marble and Tile "The Showroom" in Greenwood; his family will continue to operate the business. He was a member of Grace Assembly of God in Whiteland where he was a small group leader, usher and served on the board of missions. He also participated in co-ed volleyball at The Gathering Place in Greenwood and co-ed softball at Grace Assembly of God. He served on the board of Angelcare.

He enjoyed his Harley Davidson, playing golf and was an all-around athlete. He was a 1983 graduate of Niles High School and attended Aquinas College and Southwestern University.

He was the best dad that God blessed his sons with. He did so much for them and his family; his family is so thankful for that and the love he had for them.

Survivors include his wife, Analeise (Harbert) Fletcher of Whiteland; sons, Derek Bradley Fletcher of Whiteland and Paul Tyler (Megan) Fletcher of Indianapolis; a future grandson, Mica Edward Fletcher; siblings, G. Ronald (Judy) Fletcher of Elko, Nev., Karen (Jim) Ladd-Custer of Greenwood, George (Dora) Fletcher of Mishawaka, Kenny (Stephanie) Fletcher of Lawrence, Mich.; brother-in-law, Nathan Harbert of Greenwood; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and June Harbert of Greenwood; several nieces and nephews; and all of those who called him dad.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Delores Fletcher.

The Rev. Wayne Murray will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Assembly of God, 6822 U.S. 31 North, New Whiteland. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at the Gardens at Olive Branch Cemetery in Greenwood.
