Mrs. Mary Bowen Norton, age 85, of South St., Carrollton, Ga., passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010. She was born June 20, 1925 in Bremen, Georgia the daughter of the late Ruth Hurst Bowen and Walter E. Bowen.
Mrs. Norton was a retired cosmetic consultant with Vivian Woodard Cosmetics and a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church. She greatly enjoyed tending to her home and yards and especially loved cutting her grass.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Norton; son, Christopher Norton and a sister, Sara Clark.
Survivors include her daughter in law, Theresa Norton of Suwanee; sister and brothers in law, Ruth & Carlos Fuller of Carrollton and Eugene Clark all of Carrollton; grandchildren, Rebecca Norton, Beth & Dusty Mathews, Christopher Lee Mathews and Andrew William Mathews; also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 11 AM from Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. Myles Brown and Rev. Talmadge Chandler officiating.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: David Norton, Rick Norton, Jon Fuller, Joe Fuller, David Fuller, Jerry Honeycutt and John Remillard. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
