Wedding Announcement:
"On February 14th, occurred the marriage of Mr. Frank Wright and Miss Belle Evans at the residence of the bride's brother, W. Evans, of Wenona. The occasion was a highly enjoyable one, and at an early hour the parlors were filled to their utmost capacity by a happy and expectant company, to whom the fleeting moments seemed as "gay of wing as Eden's garden bird." At 7 o'clock the bridal pair, preceded by Miss Lucy Evans and Mr. Edwin Wright entered the rooms, and were united in a short and very appropriate ceremony by the Rev. C. Springer. The bride's dress was of hunter's green satin merveilleux, brightened by quantities of lace and white crushed roses. Refreshments of the rarest and daintiest description were next served, followed by a "feast of reason, and a flow of wit," prolonged towards the "we sma' hours." The presents received were numerous and elegant. The following day Byard Wright gave a reception at his spacious residence, to the newly wedded pair, which was the closing of a very happy affair."
Probably abstracted from the Wenona Index.
