Dixie Carol Pannell Terry Clark, 77, of Marion died Aug. 15, 2010 at UVA Health Center in Charlottesville. She was born Feb. 23, 1933 to Ernest Roy Pannell and Beulah Davis Pannell in Coeburn.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Arthur Terry, the father of her daughters, brothers, Herschel Pannell and Leon Pannell, and sisters, Brenda Pannell and Dorothy Pannell Bise.

Her greatest joys in life were her family, friends, cooking, and homemaking. Survivors include her beloved husband, Otis Leroy Clark of Marion; daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy Terry Rieley and Mike of Bedford, Lotus Terry Hunnicutt and George of Norton, Sharon Terry Craft and Rex of Sitka, Ky.; sisters, Nina Overby of Richmond, Betty Smith of Richmond, Faye Buchanan of Coeburn, Judy Kimbler of Hampton, Charlotte Dotson of Osburn, Ind., Jackie Harrison of Coeburn, Linda McCoy of Coeburn, Sandra Hillman of Hazard, Ky., and Susan McConnell of Coeburn; brother, Forgy Ray Pannell of Coeburn; grandsons, Brian Hunnicutt of Wise, Wesley Hood of Big Stone Gap, and George Hunnicutt III of Charleston, S.C.; granddaughters, Laura Kilgore McMenamin of Alexandria, Carmen Hood Sturgill of Charlotte, N.C., and Lindsay Hunnicutt Myers of Raleigh, N.C.; four great-grandchildren, Logan Hunnicutt of Wise and Juliet Rose Myers of Raleigh, N.C. and Jill and Madison Hood of Big Stone Gap.

The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 18, at 1 p.m. at Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel, Marion, with the Rev. Dr. Tom Renfro and the Rev. Sid Renfro officiating. The family received friends Tuesday, Aug. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bradley's Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will be in the Clark Family Cemetery in Barren Springs. Pallbearers will be Brian, Logan and George Hunnicutt, Chris Pannell, Sean McMenamin, and Cory Myers. In lieu of flowers, contributions honoring her memory can be made to God's Word Won't Fail Ministry, 12200 Carolina Road, Coeburn, VA Bradley's Funeral Home of Marion is in charge of arrangements.
